Corporate Services (DCORPS)
The Corporate Services department acts as the Secretariat of the Council and supports the legislative and executive functions of council. The directorate consists of four sections:

Infrastructure Development and Planning (ID&P)
The ID&P unit is tasked with the responsibility to create an integrated and sustainable future spatial development framework that will discourage urban sprawl, correct historically distorted spatial patterns.

The unit is tasked with providing basic infrastructure to communities and to ensure that they have access to acceptable levels of services and to ensure that all inhabitants have access to safe and adequate road and stormwater infrastructure.

Financial Services

The financial services unit, which has the task to manage the cash flow position of the council in such a way that future capital investment programmes can be sustained. Develop long-term tariff and income strategies that will ensure the financial sustainability of the council without overburdening the taxpayer and consumer services in the council area.

Human Settlements

The Department of Human Settlements has the mandate to create sustainable human settlements so that all residents have access to housing opportunities, which include rental accommodation or permanent residential structures. Secure tenure ensures external privacy, protection against the elements and access to potable water, adequate sanitary facilities and domestic energy supply.
