Westonaria Local Municipality held the Business Gala Dinner on Friday, 27 March 2015 at the Banquet Hall.
The main objective for the event is to create an opportunity for political leaders and administration executives of the municipality to interact with the business community. Networking and enlighten business community about how municipality functions in order to enable the business community to offer better working solutions.

To celebrate the municipality successes and appeal business to invest in Westonaria. This is in line with Gauteng Premier’s idea of revitalization of local and township economy. All business people in Westonaria and the surrounding areas attended the events.
I am thrilled that the business community takes a far more positive and optimistic view of the Town’s future in advancing and promoting initiatives aimed at job creation and poverty alleviation, said the Executive Mayor, Councilor Nonkoliso Tundzi.

“I would like to take this opportunity to reach out to the Business Community and invite them to become even more involved in Westonaria affairs so that together, we can better support the small and medium sized enterprises that are so important,” the Mayor said.

The Mayor alluded that small and medium sized industries are the backbone of all economies in ensuring job creation and long- standing economic growth. Because they are in close, everyday contact with the real economy of their cities and towns, they are an invaluable source of information and ideas on how to best tackle the problems we are all facing, she said.
In conclusion the Mayor highlighted the issue of a formation of a Metro municipality. She assured them that the move will benefit all including residents.
