Premier Announces Intervention Measures for Westonaria
Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane on Tuesday 29 October 2013 announced plans to develop the West Rand, particularly Westonaria and Randfontein.
Speaking to journalists in Johannesburg on Tuesday, Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane said there were two issues that government needed to deal with.
“Firstly, we need to stabilise Westonaria especially Bekkersdal so that there is normalcy for the residents; and secondly, we must ensure that matric exams are not interrupted. Westonaria beefs up service delivery
The Enterprise Development Corporation (TEDCOR) handed over two new state-of-the-arts waste collection trucks to Westonaria Local Municipality, who then displayed them and granted to two local entrepreneurs at an event held at Council’s Banquet Hall.
The trucks are Nissan UD90 fitted with the two load-luggers. Their features are of the latest technology model. This is in line with the on-going roll-out of 240 liters trolley bin refuse removals in the area. Each truck has the capacity to collect an average of 1700 bins or households per day…Learn More
